Chinese Medical Massage, or Tui Na massage is a therapeutic massage used for a myriad of health problems. Tui Na Massage is not only applying hands on the body to relax muscle but also stimulates acupuncture points or meridians for the treatment of various diseases. In Chinese, Tui means “to push”; Nameans “to get”. Tui Na handling techniques combine chiropractic, reflexology and deep tissue massage together.
Chinese Medical Tui Na Massage focuses on the same acupuncture points and meridians as those in acupuncture; but the hands and fingers take the place of needles.
The principles being balanced are the eight principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Practitioner can use range of motion, traction, massage, with the stimulation of acupressure points and to treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions such as pain, stress, indigestion, insomnia, arthritis, and more.
