Dr. Fu-Lin Wang holds a Bachelor of Medicine (Ningxia Medical College), Master of Medicine in Public Health (Harbin Medical University), and PhD in Epidemiology (University of Calgary). A Registered Acupuncturist in Alberta since 1994, he works at a private practice, then co-founded Bethune Oriental Medicine Center in 2002. In 2023, the Center holds the 20-year anniversary opening celebration which is well received and supported by medical professions, federal-provincial-municipal governments, communities, students, patients, media, etc.

In over 30 years of practice in Canada, Dr. Wang, with compassion and expertise, has treated or helped patients with difficult and complex illnesses – some of these are incurable or difficult to treat with modern medicine, such as hemiplegia after stroke, facial paralysis, multiple sclerosis with infertility, infected diabetic lower limb ulcers, severe depression with gynecological infections, chronic urticaria, pancreatic cancer liver metastasis, lung cancer bone metastasis, acute precordial pain, and sudden low back pain, .

Dr. Wang,trained in both modern and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), devotes his knowledge, experience, and compassion to the reservation, advancement and regulation of acupuncture and TCM profession in Canada. He is the Board member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), Executive Director of the International Collaboration Center of TCM Clinical Research in Canada of WFCMS, VP and Executive President of the Acupotomy Medical Association of Canada, Co-Chair of the International Conference of Traditional Medicines on Health and Wellness (www.ICTMHW.com, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), President of Bethune Oriental Medicine Center, Editor of Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine (English version) in Canada, Council member of Alberta Association of Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctors (AAATCMD), and Honorary Professor of Ningxia Medical University.

In the past, Dr. Wang also served as Instructor of the Acupuncture Diploma Program at Grant MacEwan University (1998 to 2017), President of College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta (CAAA), Chair and Co-Chair of the Member Service Committee of CAAA, the Board of Examiners of Acupuncture in Alberta among other positions. In modern medicine, he served as a council of the Scientific Information Committee of the Canadian Congenital Anomalies Surveillance System Network (CCASN) and the Co-Chair of the Population and Risk Factor Committee of the CCASN, etc. Dr. Wang contributed more than 35 scientific publications, 40+ reports and book chapters, and delivered 140 lectures on modern medicine and TCM at international and national conferences.

Dr. Wang, with over 40 years of experience in Canada and China, believes in balance and integrative medicine and has a special interest in treatment of stroke sequalae, emotional and neurological disorders, obesity, infertility/reproductive health issues, accidental injury, and cancer.
